Client installer

To download the KODO client installer, log in to the KODO server as the organization administrator (the admin by default) and go to the Deployments view and then click the Download global installer.

From the Download package window, choose the appropriate installation version of the client installer you want to install. The package will be downloaded locally.

The current installer version is set by the KODO Portal Admin (thekodoadminin the default portal user) at the Deployment view.

The installer can be copied to the endpoints where the software is to be installed.

Note the differences between the EXE and MSI installers:

  • Installer as a file EXE is the installation package that includes and automatically installs all prerequisites (recommended version )

  • Installer as a file MSI is the installation package without prerequisites, used for automatic software distribution (advanced admin version )

To start the installation process, download the EXE or MSI package, and do the following steps:

  1. Go to the download directory and run the package. It may take a moment for the installer to start. The application will be installed in the default directory. Click the Install button.

If you run the EXE installer, the additional window may appear when the required packages have not been installed in the operating system.

2. Wait for the installer to finish (it can take a few minutes).

3. Find the KODO icon on your desktop and launch it. Enter the server's IP address or name, username and password (check the "Remember me" box if you want your user to be remembered). Click the Log in button.

4. If the authorization is correct, you should see the KODO user console.
